Local residents who wish to purchase birdseed from the Rotary Club of Haddonfield are urged to order right away. The deadline is Saturday, Oct. 8; although Rotary insiders say you can stretch that by a day or two.
Rotary offers a variety of top quality seed, at discount prices. Deluxe Blend is available in two sizes: 20 pounds at $28 and 40 pounds at $48; Ground Feeding Plus is 20 pounds at $22; Black Oil Sunflower is 20 pounds at $28; and Thistle (Niger) is 10 pounds at $25. Cakes of suet are also available, 8 packs, each 11 ounces at $22.
Safflower, 20 pounds at $37, is especially popular with many bird-lovers. Why? Squirrels don’t like it! Also popular is No Mess, 20 pounds at $42, because it contains no husks, therefore there is no cleanup.
A special feature of this fundraiser is that Rotarians themselves deliver the seed, free of charge, to customers in the Haddonfield ZIP Code. Customers in other towns may pick up their orders at Wild Birds Unlimited in Cherry Hill, on or after Saturday, Oct. 15.
To order by mail, send your list and check to Rotary Club of Haddonfield, P.O. Box 383, Haddonfield N.J. 08033. To order and pay online, visit HaddonfieldRotary.org.
