Check out upcoming fall events in Mullica Hill

There's plenty of events to check out during the Fall season.

Get your rakes, the leaves are coming! And so is a bunch of fun-filled events for you and your family to enjoy during the fall season. From spooky hayrides to car shows, check out some of the events to look forward to in Mullica Hill.

Gloucester County 4-H Fall Fest
The Gloucester County 4-H Association will host its fourth annual Fall Fest on Sept. 28 (rain date: Sept. 29) at the Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds in Mullica Hill from 4 to 9 p.m. 

The event will feature dozens of local vendors, a costume contest and even a chili cook-off. Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable donation to support the Glassboro Good Samaritan Center and receive a ticket for a raffle to win a gift basket. 

Attendees can enjoy festival classics like the hayrides, haunted house, trick-or-treating and crafts. 

New this year is Spooky Tales on the hayrides. Little ones can enjoy a five-minute ride while listening to the re-rendering of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” with a Halloween twist, which is perfect content and length for the young and young at heart. For the older and more adventurous, take a 10-minute ride through the woods as you learn of the legend of Bloody Mary. 

Another new event at the festival is a pumpkin decorating contest. Attendees can bring their pre-decorated pumpkins and be judged by age groups. 

Admission to the festival is $10 per car. More information and requirements about all contests can be found by searching for the Gloucester County 4-H Nature Preserve on Facebook. 

Mullica Hill Car Show
Guests can come to Main Street for an auto show featuring cars, trucks and jeeps on Sept. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors can check out the trophy ceremony and enjoy food and drinks. More information can be found by searching Mullica Hill Car Show on Facebook.  

Creamy Acre’s Night of Terror
From Sept. 20 to Nov. 2, take a trip to Night of Terror’s four terrifying haunted attractions. The event will be available every Thursday to Saturday starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.nightofterror.com

175th Anniversary Dinner and Concert
Harrison will be celebrating the anniversary of 175 years with a dinner and musical performance on Oct. 5 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Dinner will feature a Farm-to-Fork Harvest dish accompanied by the Civil War Brass music performance by Beck’s Band. Build Your Own Scarecrow
The Harrison Township Recreation Commission is hosting a Build Your Own Scarecrow event at Mullica Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Frames, clothing and hay will be provided at $20 per scarecrow. For more information, visit www.harrisontwp.us

Fall Festival and Civil War Living History Weekend
Guests can see what life was like during the Civil War while enjoying food, music and crafts on Oct. 12 and 13. The event is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit www.happeninginthehill.com.   

5K Trick or Trot Fun Run
Join Harrison Township for its 13th annual Trick or Trot: 5K Costume Fun Run/Walk on Oct. 26 at Ella Harris Park starting at 8:30 a.m. Runners can register online at www.runsignup.com/trickortrot and $15 per person, or register the day of the event and pay $20. 

Wizards, Witches and Wands!
Spend a day with plenty of magical activities like wand or broom building, potion mixing and even quidditch on Oct. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. for a town-wide celebration on Main St. 

Annual Halloween Parade
The Harrison Township Recreation Commission is hosting its annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 26 (rain date: Oct. 27) at Ella Harris Park. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. guests can also enjoy hayrides, games and pumpkin painting. The parade starts at 1 p.m. For more information, visit www.harrisontwp.us

Trunk or Treat
Dress to impress in your favorite costume for the Harrison Township Police Department’s annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Members of the police department will hand out treats from decorated police vehicles. This event is free and open to children 12 and under, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
