PSE&G crews to shut down Kings Highway on Monday

Work scheduled for a 6-hour block on main thoroughfare.

The Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) revealed to Camden County that crews will be performing a paving restoration at 241 Kings Highway West in Haddonfield on Monday, Aug. 12. The project will require a portion of Kings Highway to be completely closed.

“This is a heavily trafficked area, so please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your route involves any of the affected roadways,” county freeholder Susan Shin Angulo said in a release. “As will all road closures, motorists can expect the project to cause sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will close Kings Highway West between Lansdowne Avenue and Avondale Avenue. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route utilizing Hinchman Avenue and Route 41 to circumvent the construction zone.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Aug. 12. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
