Lutheran Church of Our Savior collecting school supplies

Items can be dropped off to the church by Aug. 18.

The Lutheran Church of Our Savior Social Ministries Committee again is sponsoring the Pack-A-Sack effort to collect and distribute school supplies to children through Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council (IHOC).

Shopping “backpacks” (paper bags with a list of suggested items) can be picked up at the church, filled and dropped off at the church at 204 Wayne Ave., or items can be dropped off at the church before Aug. 18.

Supplies needed include: backpacks, pens, pencils, notebook paper, construction paper, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, protractors, calculators, folders, spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, markers, crayons and small pencil sharpeners.

The “backpacks’’ are distributed to homeless shelters in South Jersey for children from kindergarten to high school. For additional information, contact the church office at )856) 429-5122 or Stacey Shaw at [email protected].
