Another rainy night is expected in South Jersey on Thursday. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties until 1 a.m. on Friday morning.
A series of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight could produce heavy rain. One to three inches of rain is in the forecast, with locally higher amounts of three to five inches possible. Very heavy rain in a short period of time could lead to flash flooding.
The risk of flash flooding is highest in urban and low lying areas. There could be rapid rises on small creeks and streams. Residents are asked to monitor the weather throughout the night, especially in areas prone to flash flooding.
