Mantua Township patrol summary, June 26 – July 2

The following are on file at the Mantua Township Police Department.

June 26

  • Patrols took a theft report of construction equipment that was stolen from a jobsite at Country Gardens complex.
  • Officers investigated a vehicle burglary that occurred over the weekend.
  • Special Officer Wolfsgruber conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant.
  • Officers investigated a phone scam in which a victim gave their personal information to an unknown subject on the phone.
  • Units responded to a minor crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Tylers Mill Road.
  • Ptl. Krieger and Inv. Hauss arrested a subject from a credit card fraud that had occurred earlier in the month.
  • Officers arrested a subject who had violated a final restraining order by placing phone calls to the victim.

June 27

  • Officers responded to a loud music complaint just after 1 a.m. The person agreed to turn down the music.
  • Ptl. Shaw investigated a suspicious vehicle and arrested the driver for outstanding warrants and drug related charges.
  • Units took a harassment complaint for a subject who was receiving threating text messages about his mother.
  • Officers took a theft report in which the victim reported that someone stole their T-shirts and underwear.
  • Patrols responded to a neighbor complaint in which there is a dispute over the property line.
  • Units responded to a two-vehicle crash on Cohawkin Road near Cedar Road. One person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
  • Units responded to a crash on Oakton Drive in the area of Kettlewood Court.
  • Officers responded to a domestic argument between a male and his ex-girlfriend.
  • Units responded to an abandoned vehicle at the Barnsboro Inn.
  • Patrols responded to a road rage incident where a knife was shown in a threatening manner.

June 28

  • Units responded to juveniles playing “ding dong ditch” in the Royal Oaks area.
  • Patrols responded to a subject who wanted to harm him or herself. They were transported to the hospital for treatment.
  • Officers took a report for a juvenile who was being harassed via social media
  • Units checked a road hazard in which a gas cap was missing from the roadway.
  • Officers checked for an erratic driver who was seen driving through a farm field.
  • Officers conducted foot patrol at Chestnut Branch Park during the evening hours.

June 29

  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drugs.
  • Officers took a theft report where the victim reports someone entered her home and took cash
  • Officers supervised community service workers as they cleaned up litter along Woodbury Glassboro Rd.
  • Patrols responded to the Heritages parking lot for a minor crash.  The parties agreed to handle it amongst themselves.
  • Officers responded to a child custody dispute where one parent was refusing to turn over their child per the court order.
  • Units responded to a solicitor complaint but they left prior to our arrival
  • Patrols responded to three firework complaints during the evening.

June 30

  • Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter along Route 45.
  • Units responded to a domestic disturbance over houseguests out-staying their welcome.
  • Officers responded to a domestic assault between a father and his adult daughter. The daughter was arrested for injuring her father.
  • Ptl. Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drugs.
  • Units checked on a suspicious vehicle behind The Home Depot that was loading equipment.
  • Ptl. Schnarr investigated a suspicious vehicle in Mantua Heights and arrested an occupant for possession of drugs.
  • Ptl. Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for multiple outstanding warrants.

July 1

  • Units responded to a minor crash in the drive through of the Taco Bell.
  • Patrols responded to a vehicle in which the doors would not lock.
  • Officers investigated a possible stolen vehicle, but it was repossessed.
  • Ptl. Mroz and his K-9 partner, Zuke, assisted the Deptford Police with searching a residence at a possible burglary.
  • Ptl. Mroz and his K-9 partner assisted Deptford an hour later with tracking a suspect wanted for a violation of a restraining order.
  • Units responded to a girlfriend who wanted her boyfriend removed from the house for not getting a job.
  • Units assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their vehicle at the Rite Aid store on Glassboro Road.

July 2

  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of the Lowe’s store.
  • Officers assisted the Harrison Township Police with a crash on the border of the two towns.
  • Patrols responded to a neighbor complaint in which one neighbor is accused of putting nails on the other’s driveway.
  • Dempsey’s Auto and Tire Center came in to sign a complaint against a customer for a bad check.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants.
  • Officers responded to a grill fire near the back of a house in Wenonah.
  • Patrols responded to a group of juveniles who were having a lemonade stand on another’s property who did not want them on it.
  • Officers assisted a resident in Wenonah with lifting their dog into their vehicle to take to the vet.
  • Officers responded to a child who was bit by a dog in Wenonah.
  • Patrols responded to a crash in the parking lot of Delaware Valley Florist where one occupant went to the hospital for leg pain.
  • Units responded to a female who was overdosing on something and was very combative. She was arrested and then transported to the hospital for treatment.
  • Units responded to a road rage crash on Route 45 in the area of Berkley Road.
  • Our units, along with Mantua Fire Department and the Deptford Police looked for a missing couple in the Tall Pines State Reserve. Both parties were located separately and were fine.
