The Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey military support group has announced that the group is once again partnering with The Ravitz Family Markets and their five local ShopRite stores in sending care packages to the U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan and other areas in the Middle East.

Each year, The Ravitz Family Markets owned ShopRites are OYR’s No. 1 supporter, sponsor and partner in the community with helping raise funds and generating donations of care package items for men and women deployed to the Middle East.

With the help of The Ravitz Family Markets most generous customers and staff, OYRSJ shipped more than 120,000 pounds of care package items in 2017 and 2018.

The Ravitz Family Markets owned ShopRites are helping OYRSJ from Memorial Day weekend through July 4 in collections for care packages and donations for the troops at their registers when customers check out and complete their shopping trip.

In addition, volunteers from OYRSJ will be visiting each store at the listed dates and locations below to greet customers and kindly ask them as they enter the store to consider purchasing one or more care package items and donating them on the way out as they exit.

OYRSJ will then pack the donated items and prepare them for shipping to the group’s e recipient list.

A list of items requested can be found on the OYRSJ website at www.OperationYellowRibbon.org or volunteers of OYRSJ will give donators a list as they enter the stores at the dates and times below.
