Lourdes Cardiology is pleased to launch “Cook, Shop, Walk, and Yoga with a Doc.” During this free four-part program, participants join a Lourdes cardiologist for a walk at a local park and health discussion; cooking demonstration, featuring healthy cooking options; yoga class and discussion about the benefits of yoga and a smart shopping experience with a ShopRite dietitian, discussing heart-healthy eating options while learning about important wellness information from a Lourdes cardiologist.
Lourdes clinical cardiologist Rozy Dunham, MD, FACC, will host “Yoga with a Doc,” a beginner yoga class where participants practice basic yoga moves and learn about the health benefits of yoga. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat and a bottle of water. The class will take place on Saturday, June 22, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Barclay Farmstead in Cherry Hill. This class is part of a four-part “Yoga in the Park” series offered by Cherry Hill Township’s Department of Recreation, held Saturdays throughout June. Dr. Dunham will lead the June 22 class only. Lourdes clinical cardiologist Vivek Sailam, MD, and a ShopRite dietitian lead a supermarket tour on Wednesday, July 10, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the ShopRite of Marlton, 307 Route 70 West, Marlton, NJ. During the tour, Dr. Sailam will discuss heart-healthy eating options and how they impact cardiac health.
Lourdes cardiologist Jason Smith, DO, and a chef from Alfrea, an online food marketplace, offer Cooking with a Lourdes Doc on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at LourdesCare at Cherry Hill, located at 1 Brace Road in Cherry Hill. Along with a cooking demonstration, learn healthy cooking options and recipes.
