Blood drive at Evesham’s Van Zant Elementary School April 9

The event will be held in the all purpose room at Van Zant from 3 to 8 p.m.

Van Zant Elementary School and The American Red Cross are joining forces to host a blood drive on Tuesday, April 9.

The event will be held in the all purpose room at Van Zant from 3 to 8 p.m.

Those interested can signup online at www.redcrossblood.org using the sponsor code “Van Zant School.” Supporters can also visit the site to learn other ways to support the Red Cross.

Members of the public are also asked to consider making a “Power Red” donation, which organizers say “can make twice the difference for patients in need.”

According to organizers, Power Red Cell collection is an automated process that safely allows for the collection of two red cell units rather than one.

Eligibility requirements can be found on the Red Cross Website at https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/eligibility-requirements.html.

Organizers also offer their thanks to all those who support the American Red Cross Blood Program and help “ensure there is blood on the shelves to help save lives.”
