Spring is finally here, even if the weather does not agree. But that will not stop Sicklerville from getting out and enjoying some fresh air.

Bunny Breakfast

Break out the Easter baskets because it’s that time of year again. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Timber Creek Regional High School Library. Joseph Sokolic, the life science teacher at the school is in charge of the event and believes this year children will have a blast with all the activities.
“We have jelly bean-filled Easter egg hunts, memory games and pictures with the Easter Bunny for the kids to enjoy,” said Sokolic.
He said there will be two age groups, one for toddlers and the other for middle school-age children.
“That’s so the little kids don’t get trampled by the big kids,” he said.
The first 50 children will receive an Easter basket filled with goodies. The event is free and sponsored by the National Honor Society and the Black Horse Pike Education Association. Donations can be made at the event. For more information, contact Sokolic at (856) 232-9703 or at [email protected].

Aim High 5k

Runners can head to the starting line on April 13 for the 5th annual Aim High 5K Run/3K Walk. The 5K raises funds for the Aim High-Aimee Girard Scholarship Fund in memory of Aimee Jo Girard.
“Her education was a top priority, and helping others as a registered nurse was her passion, so this fund not only honors her life, but it also provides several scholarships to students graduating Timber Creek Regional High School and Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing,” according to Jennifer Pavelik, Aim High chairperson and math teacher at TCHS.
Entry fees are $15 for all TCHS students prior to race, $20 for all other registrants prior to race and $25 for everyone on race day. Free for children under 12. Sign in starts at 7:30 a.m., and the race begins at 9 a.m. rain or shine at Timber Creek High School. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Erial/AIMHIGH5kRunWalk.
