The schools will be closed due to an anticipated low attendance from the Philadelphia Eagles parade
Superintendent Joseph Bollendorf announced the Washington Township public schools will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 8, due to an anticipated low attendance as a result of the Philadelphia Eagles parade.
According to a letter send to staff and families, the day will be made up by the district on a date to be determined later.
“To ensure the ongoing delivery of quality and coherent instruction, we believe we are best served by moving the instructional day to one when attendance rates will be achieved,” the letter said.
Schools will be open on Friday, Feb. 9.
