Washington Township Police Department now accepting applications

Applicants must submit required documents by March 23

The Washington Township Police Department is now accepting applications for police officers and special law enforcement officers. The police department is looking to replace officers that have retired, as well as increase the size of the police force by adding several additional full time officers and special officers in 2018, according to Chief of Police Patrick Gurcsik.

The WTPD will be conducting a testing process for the positions, which will minimally consist of physical agility tests, written examinations, oral interviews, drug screenings and psychological examinations.

Interested applicants who meet the specified qualifications must submit all required documents on the applicant checklist by Friday, March 23 at 5 p.m. Late or incomplete submission packets will not be accepted. If applying for both positions, only one application fee is required — but two separate checklists must be submitted.

For more information, or to apply, visit http://www.twp.washington.nj.us/.

For questions regarding the testing process, contact Sgt. Eric Caveng at [email protected].
