Washington Township Chamber of Commerce Block Party

On Sept. 29, the Washington Township Chamber of Commerce hosted a “Best Of” block party at the Washington Township High School. There were many vendors and kids activities that benefited Project Graduation. Our Economic Development Consultant, Nancy Mozzachio, also had a table at this event. She was there to promote some of our new initiatives such as: the Shop Washington Township Program, pop-up shops and our food and wine initiative. Nancy will also be hosting a “Women Entrepreneurs and Women Owned Businesses” event at the municipal building. For more information about these initiatives, please contact Nancy Mozzachio at [email protected] or at (856) 589–0520 ext. 261.

Huddles & Hops Craft Beer Festival

On Sept. 30, Washington Township hosted our very first craft beer festival, Huddles & Hops, at Washington Lake Park. This event was a huge success. From craft beers to food trucks, vendors and the Eagles game, there was much fun to be had for all. There were many families that took advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoyed watching the Eagles game on the large screen at the amphitheater. Council President Joe Perry and his family also attended the game. I would like to thank those who were involved with the planning of this event, including our events coordinator, Lisa Collins and our park supervisor Nick Fiorentino. The event was very organized and went off without a hitch.

K-9 benefit car show

I would like to thank South Jersey Pontiac Club for hosting this event for our Police K-9 Unit.

Women Entrepreneurs and Women Owned Businesses event

I am pleased to announce that the economic development office will be hosting a “Women Entrepreneurs and Women Owned Businesses” meeting on Oct. 24 at the Washington Township Municipal Building in meeting room D from 5 to 7 p.m.. This event was created to help women network and converse with other women who also own their own businesses and are entrepreneurs. There will be light refreshments, great conversation, and several guest speakers, including Karoline Moxham who is a business services officer at BB&T Bank. If you are interested in attending this event or would like more information about the event, you may contact our Economic Development Consultant, Nancy Mozzachio at [email protected] or at 856–589–0520 ext. 261.
