Deep Roots Community Garden public sign-up day is set for tomorrow

Calling all gardeners!

On Saturday, March 17, Voorhees residents can signup for available 10’ x 10’ garden plots for the 2018 Deep Roots Community Garden season.

The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will take place by the parking lot behind Cultivate Church, located at 2303 E Evesham Road in Voorhees.

Our garden is open to anyone in the Voorhees area who would like to grow organic vegetables and develop friendships with their fellow gardeners. We will provide a 10' x 10' plot, compost, a tool shed with common gardening tools and means of irrigation.

The gardener is responsible for providing seeds/plants, attending to any weeding and providing general care and maintenance of his/her plot, as well as clearing out the plot at the end of the season. Membership registration and one-time fee are required for access to this garden program. $35 fee ($20 for garden plot and $15 deposit to be returned upon end-of-season plot clean out.)
