Former Eastern Regional football player wins NFL honor

Logan Ryan, who now plays for the Tennessee Titans, gives a $2,500 grant to Eastern after winning the “NFL Way to Play” award

Former Eastern Regional High School football player Logan Ryan, who now plays for the Tennessee Titans, received the “NFL Way to Play” award for week 10 last week. He received the honor in response to his play and win over the New England Patriots.

As a result of winning the award, Ryan also received a $2,500 equipment grant through USA football. He has decided to donate the money to the Eastern Regional Athletic Department.

According to the NFL’s website, a “distinguished panel of NFL Legends and coaches selects the player who most positively impacted the game through proper technique (i.e., tackling, blocking, footwork, discipline, vision).” Each week’s winner is announced on Good Morning Football every Thursday.

Ryan is also in the running for this year’s Pro Bowl. Vote for the Eastern Regional Alumnus at www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot.
