Smashburger will celebrate National Cheeseburger Day on Sept. 18

Smashburger, the nation’s fastest-growing “better burger” restaurant, announced today that it will be giving away free Classic Smashburgers to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day at its South Jersey restaurants in Cherry Hill and Voorhees, along with its newly opened restaurant in nearby Lawrenceville on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“As the better burger, Smashburger is pleased to celebrate a great American holiday like National Cheeseburger Day,” said Smashburger franchisee Ashish Parikh, who plans to open another Smashburger location in East Windsor, later this fall. “It wouldn’t be a true celebration without a better burger that comes with a variety of 11 mouth-watering sauces and toppings on a freshly baked bun.”

Parikh’s three Smashburger restaurants — which are located at 1120 White Horse Road in Voorhees; 56 Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill, across from the Cherry Hill Mall; and 3321 Route 1 South across from the Quaker Bridge Mall in Lawrenceville — will be ready to provide an unforgettable, culinary experience to its guests on the special holiday.

The Lawrenceville restaurant also will welcome area business leaders to celebrate the new location on Sept. 18. Beginning at 10 a.m. Creative Marketing Alliance President & CEO Jeffrey Barnhart, whose company promotes the three Smashburger restaurants, will help cut the ribbon along with local government officials and MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce officials at the grand-opening event.

At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100 percent fresh, never frozen, all-natural Certified Angus Beef, and is smashed on a 400-degree, flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, the delicious burgers are served on toasted artisan buns and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses and highest-quality condiments.

Smashburger has more than 280 restaurant locations across the U.S., and is more than just burgers. Customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated, grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches and fresh-tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides, including rosemary and garlic seasoned Smashfries, Haystack Onions and Veggie Frites (flash-fried and seasoned carrot sticks and green beans). The restaurant also will serve a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, ranging from handspun Haagen-Dazs shakes and root-beer floats in frosted mugs.

Besides the food, Smashburger restaurants feature contemporary design and attentive customer service. The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday to Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
