Eastern Regional’s transition camp

In preparation for incoming freshmen and other new students for the next school year, Eastern’s transition camp in August is now open to register

The Eastern Camden County Regional School District is starting the registration process for next year’s incoming freshmen, as well as other new incoming students, to the schools transition camp.

The camp takes place across two days on Tuesday, Aug. 20 and Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 2 to 6 p.m. and costs $25. According to the school’s release, the program is designed to assist incoming freshman and new students in making a smooth transition from middle school to high school. Eastern Student Alliance mentors and advisors facilitate the camp.

The program will include activities designed to help freshmen learn:

· To navigate through the high school complex

· To locate their classrooms, labs and study areas

· Organization and time management skills

· How to follow the wheel schedule

· Effective use of the Lunch and Lab

· Tech Tips

All while also having the chance the learn how to win Eastern “swag.” Registration can be done at http://bit.ly/Class2023Transition.
