Young adult production open to those in grade nine through age 22
Voorhees Theatre Company, a regional, nonprofit theater organization, will hold auditions for its young adult show, “Sister Act,” on Thursday, June 8, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Osage Elementary School. Callbacks will be the following evening at the same time and place.
The young adult show features performers entering ninth grade in September through age 22. Prospective cast members are encouraged to arrive by 6:15 p.m. and be prepared to stay for most or all of the time. Auditioners should also come prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway-style song that demonstrates their range and ability, and be dressed to dance. An accompanist will be available to play choice of sheet music, or participants can bring an instrumental-only CD accompaniment. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Friday, June 9 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Osage Elementary School is at 112 Somerdale Road, Voorhees.
A $25 audition fee, payable by cash, check, or credit card (fee may apply for credit card) will be collected at the audition. For those chosen for the cast, the remaining $75 participation fee is due by Wednesday, July 5, and will go in part to the script rental.
