Burlington Township Board of Education votes to approve tentative 2017–2018 budget
The Board of Education at last week’s meeting voted to approve the tentative 2017–2018 budget and authorized the board secretary to submit it to the executive county superintendent of schools for approval. The total budget is $67.12 million with $43.93 million to be raised through taxation.
Council votes to introduce tentative 2017 municipal budget
Late last month, council introduced the 2017 proposed municipal budget. The total budget for 2017 is $23.3 million with $12 million to be raised through taxes. This will increase the tax levy to 52.3 cents for every $100 of assessed property.
