BTPD release outcome of “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown

Between Dec. 7, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019, officers conducted aggressive traffic enforcement and saturation patrols

From the Burlington Township Police Department:

Public Safety Director Bruce Painter is pleased to announce that the Burlington Township Police Department recently participated in the national 2018 “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Year End Holiday Crackdown.

Between the dates of Dec. 7, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019, officers conducted aggressive traffic enforcement and saturation patrols that resulted in:

5 alcohol related DWI arrests
1 narcotic related DWI arrest
9 criminal narcotics arrests
6 warrant arrests
469 motor vehicle summonses

Director Painter credits all the men and women of the Burlington Township Police Department for making this initiative so successful and for making Burlington Township a safe community. Whereas the operational period for this initiative has ended, the Burlington Township Police Department remains committed to improving the safety of our roadways by aggressively enforcing the state’s DWI laws.
