Burlington County hosting workshops for non-profit arts organizations

The Burlington County Freeholders along with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts are hosting free grants workshops for Burlington County non-profit arts organizations and community groups that offer arts programming to county residents.

The workshops are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. in the Annex Art Gallery located on the second floor of the Smithville Mansion in Smithville Park, Eastampton.

“These workshops are geared to help organizations apply for grants that make the arts an affordable and integral part of the community,” Burlington County Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio said.

Past grant recipients are encouraged to attend, and first-time applicants are required to attend a free grant workshop that focuses on the application process before applying for 2012 grant funding. The funding, which is limited, may be used for arts-related activities conducted between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2012.

Grant applications and guidelines will be available soon on the county website at www.co.burlington.nj.us or by calling the Burlington County Division of Parks at 265–5959.
