Palmyra Police Department welcomes clergyman to its team

Three local clergymen were sworn in to the Palmyra Police Department

The Palmyra Police Department proudly announced the initiation of the Police Chaplain Program. Three local clergymen volunteered their services and time to assist with the handling of tragic incidents and situations where emotions were high.

Pastor Wes Allen, Pastor Charlie Soper and Pastor Tristan Shin will be able to work with the police in offering non-denominational emotional support to residents when dealing with incidents such as death, suicide, critical incidents and other traumatic events.

The three pastors are now sworn members of the police department and an extension of the police family.

Places of worship interested in the program can contact the Palmyra Police Department for more information.
