The Palmyra Soccer teams are a combined 17–1 in 2017.
The Palmyra Panthers boys soccer team remained undefeated after three straight wins since last Thursday. Palmyra drubbed Pemberton 7–0 on Sept. 21. Gio Narhwold scored two goals in the win, while four other players got on the score sheet. On Sept. 25, Palmyra defeated BCIT Westhampton 4–0 behind goals from Narhwold, Matt Katella, Tommy Shover, and Adam Janowicz. In a highly-anticipated division showdown on Sept. 27, Palmyra defeated Bordentown 2–0.
The team is currently 9–0 and a perfect 4–0 in division action. Their next game is on Friday, Sept. 29 at Moorestown Friends with opening whistle set for 4 p.m.
Girls Soccer bounce back after suffering first loss of season
The Palmyra Lady Panthers remain atop of the BCSL Freedom Division, after pair of wins this week. Despite losing 3–2 at Collingswood on Sept. 23, Palmyra have won their last two matches by a combined score of 9–0.
A 7–0 drubbing of BCIT Westhampton took place on Sept. 25 as five players got on the scoresheet. Madison Hartman and Julia Carducci each netted two goals apiece, while Juliana Blatz, Olivia Falicki, and Jayme Livingstone each scored a goal.
Carducci and Lily Beck scored goals in the Lady Panthers 2–0 divisional win over New Egypt on Sept. 27. Maura Scott made four saves in the clean sheet. Palmyra (8–1) faces off with Moorestown Friends on Friday, Sept. 27 with opening whistle set for 4 p.m.
Girls Tennis remains in top three for South Jersey Group I
The Palmyra girls tennis team have already had a busy week, winning two of their three matches. The Lady Panthers (9–2) are third in the South Jersey Group I standings.
On Monday, Sept. 25, Palmyra shut out Willingboro 5–0, as Leah Tatu, Pamela Solis Roblero, and Angelica Johnson each won their respective matches. Despite a 3–2 home loss to Haddon Heights, Palmyra bounced back on Wednesday defeating Burlington City 5–0.
Tatu, Roblero, and Johnson all were on the winning side of things defeating their opponents by a total score of 18–1.
Palmyra next faces a trip to Pemberton on Thursday, Sept. 28. before returning home on Oct. 2 to host Holy Cross.
