Harrison Township police seeking information on home burglary

Police found a Turtle Creek Drive home ransacked on Tuesday. Nov. 7.

Harrison Township Police Department are investigating a home burglary on Turtle Creek Drive, Mullica Hill, which they believe took place on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

At approximately 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, the Harrison Township Police Department was dispatched to Emilys Lane, Mullica Hill, for a reported suspicious person.

According to police, the caller reported a white male in a black hat, and possibly a black hoodie, looking in the window of her residence. When the subject saw the caller, he fled on foot to the rear of the development.

A release posted on the Harrison Township Police Department Facebook page said Ptl. Anel Kalabic, Ptl. Chris Cartella and Ptl. Ryan Golden arrived on scene within two minutes of being dispatched and conducted a thorough search of the neighborhood.

Police report during their search, officers observed the front door of a residence on Turtle Creek Drive standing open. Ptl. Patrick Morris and Det. Adam McEvoy arrived on location to assist, along with a unit from Mantua Township and a K-9 unit from Washington Township. Observations found the house had been ransacked, and the homeowner advised some jewelry appeared to be missing.

At this time, the case remains under investigation by Kalabic and Cartella, with the assistance of McEvoy. Police are asking anyone in the area of this incident who happened to see anything suspicious, or who may have home security video that may depict the suspect or a suspect vehicle, to contact any of the above mentioned officers at (856) 478-6839.
