‘Meet of Champions’ Clearview swimmers place high

In individual and relay races, the Pioneers controlled the waters at GCIT

The Clearview swimmers placed high at the 2018 “Meet of Champions” state swim meet on March 3 and 4. The meet took place at Gloucester County Institute of Technology.

Kyra Schwerzler, placed 5th in the 100 breaststroke with a school record-breaking time. The relay team of Schwerzler, Julia Rothstein, Rachel Doring and Kelsey McNamara placed 12th in the 200 relay and 17th in the 400.

Will Lukens swam the 6th fastest time in the state in his 200 freestyle race and made finals in the 500. In both events, Lukens broke the school record. The relay team of Lukens, Owen McNamara, BJ Fuller and Dan Porter placed 4th in the 200 relay and had the 7th fastest time in the 400 relay and established new school records in both.
