The following information was sent by the Harrison Township Police Department.
On Feb. 11 at 7:30 a.m., Harrison Township Police Department patrol units responded to a motor vehicle crash on Aura Road, approximately a quarter-mile south of Williamson Lane.
Upon patrol units’ arrival, the involved vehicles, a 2018 Toyota Corolla and a 2011 Ford F-150, were in the northbound travel lane and shoulder of the roadway. Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Toyota, a 47-year-old male from Elk Township, was traveling south on Aura Road. The driver of the Toyota lost control on the snow-covered roadway and crossed the roadway in front of the northbound F-150, driven by a 32-year-old male from Bridgeton.
Impact occurred between the front of the Ford and the center passenger side of the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota was unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:43 a.m. by Inspira Paramedics.
The crash is being investigated by Ptl. Robert J. May, assisted by Ptl. Kevin McGowan and Ptl. Kurt Pflugfelder. Further assistance on the scene was provided by the Glassboro Police Department, the Harrison Township Fire District, Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services and the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office.
