Final performances for Lenape High School’s production of ‘Aida’ on March 9 and March 10

A soldier and princess from warring regions in ancient times fall in love in this show set to music by Elton John.

Lenape High School students Enrique Gonzalez and Jaelyn Alexander rehearse for their roles as Radames and Aida before the debut of Lenape’s production of ‘Aida.’

The final performances of Lenape High School’s production of “Aida” are set for March 9 at 7 p.m. and on March 10 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

All tickets for the show are available at the door at Lenape High School one hour before performances.

“Aida” debuted on Broadway in 2000 and won four Tony awards, including Best Original Score.

Lenape High School debuted its own production of the show last week on March 2.

In an interview with The Sun several weeks ago, show director Michael Del Rossi said the show features the story of a soldier and princess from warring regions in ancient times as the fall in love in this show set to music by Elton John.

The show features music genres such as soaring love ballads, funk, ’80s synth and pop rock.
