Mount Laurel sees two large thefts of tires and wheels in two weeks

Someone keeps stealing huge numbers of tires in Mount Laurel, according to the Courier-Post.

Are we going to have to start locking our car wheels like we do with bicycles?

In the latest case, thieves got away with $14,650 worth of wheels and tires from six Mini Coopers at a Route 73 car dealership.

The incident took place sometime between 9 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, at Mini of Mount Laurel, the Courier reported.

The thief also caused about $3,500 in damage.

Just two weeks earlier, on Nov. 7, several vehicles lost their tires and wheels in a similar manner outside the nearby Doubletree Hotel on Fellowship Road, police told the Courier.
