Election results out of Mt. Laurel

The Mt. Laurel GOP ran uncontested in the local election this year. Mayor Jim Keenan, Deputy Mayor Linda Bobo and Irwin Edelson, chairman of the Mt. Laurel Municipal Utilities Authority, have been elected to serve on township council.

Council seats:

Republican Linda Bobo: 33.52 percent, with 11,750 votes.

Republican Jim Keenan: 33.76 percent, with 11,834 votes.

Republican Irwin Edelson: 32.71 percent, with 11,465 votes.

A total of 35,049 votes were cast.

Three candidates ran uncontested for three board seats in the Mt. Laurel Schools election. All three candidates are incumbents.

School board seats:

Maureen Sojka: 34.25 percent, with 9,257 votes.

Ronald Frey: 32.94 percent, with 8,904 votes.

Joanne Pelly: 32.80 percent, with 8,866 votes.

A total of 27,027 votes were cast.

One candidate ran uncontested for one open Mt. Laurel seat on the Lenape Regional High School district school board.

Lenape seat:

John D. Jeffers, incumbent, was elected to the Lenape Regional District school board with 10,470 votes.
