The multitool crafting machine allows uses to digitally create patterns that can be cut out or drawn onto different types of materials.
The Rotary Club of Mt. Laurel recently donated a “Cricut” maker to the Mt. Laurel Library.
With the multitool crafting machine, users can create patterns on a laptop or tablet that are loaded into the Cricut maker, where they can be cut out or drawn onto many types of materials, from paper and fabric to matboard and balsa wood.
According to the rotary, Mt. Laurel Library Director Becky Boydston said the library will be holding programs for small groups to learn how to find or create projects in their Cricut Design Studio. Attendees will learn how to set up the machine to produce their design.
Locals can also use the machine during the library’s regularly scheduled MakerSpace Drop-In times, where individuals can come in for a demonstration or tutorial on how the system works.
People will then be welcome to use the machine to create their own projects.
