At 2:23 p.m. on May 30, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the CVS on Route 38 for suspicious activity.
According to police, a store clerk reported that an older man was attempting to purchase a large amount of Apple iTunes cards.
Police say the clerk suspected the man was the victim of a fraud since he made a large iTunes card purchase earlier in the day.
According to police, the investigation revealed that the man had fallen victim to an Internet computer repair scam. He paid $500 for a firewall/virus program several months prior and then paid $1,500 in iTunes cards for the service on May 30.
Police say the scammer was able to convince the victim that he would receive a $2,000 check in the mail to reimburse him for his purchase.

At 7:23 p.m. on June 1, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on the 4100 block of Fenwick Lane to check on the well being of the resident. The investigation led to the arrest of a male, age 27, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of prescription legend drugs without a prescription, possession of LSD, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes. He was released pending a court hearing.
At 7:20 p.m. on June 1, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the 7–11 convenience store, 3051 Route 38, for a shoplifting complaint. The investigation identified a 17-year-old male from Mt. Laurel who stole 10 quarts of motor oil valued at $49. The juvenile was turned over to his mother.
During the overnight hours of May 31 into June 1, someone spray painted graffiti on a fence surrounding the Mt. Laurel MUA station on the 200 block of Ramblewood Parkway. An air conditioning unit was also damaged.
During the overnight hours of May 31 into June 1, someone used a sharp object to carve obscene words and images into the paint of a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Oswego Court.
During the overnight hours of May 31 into June 1, someone broke a window on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Stratton Lane.
At 5:50 p.m. on May 31, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a McDonald’s restaurant for a suspicious person. Officers located and arrested a female, age 28, of Marlton. She had a warrant for her arrest and was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic syringes. She was charged with possession of the paraphernalia and syringes and released after satisfying her warrant.
At 4:05 p.m. on May 31, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Crawford Place for the report of a stabbing. The investigation revealed that a female, age 19, of Yeadon, Pa got into an argument with a 27-year-old male from Atco. During the argument the female stabbed the male in the leg with a knife. He was transported to Cooper Hospital, Camden with non-life-threatening injuries. The female was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She was released pending a court hearing.
At 5:32 p.m. on May 30, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Shoprite on Nixon Drive for a shoplifting complaint. Officers arrested a male, age 37, of Pemberton, for shoplifting $17 worth of merchandise. He also had a warrant for his arrest out of the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with shoplifting and committed to the Burlington County Jail.
On May 12, Mt. Laurel Police responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods for a past tense shoplifting report. The investigation revealed that a suspect stole over $4,500 in merchandise over several visits to the store. The suspect was identified as a male, age 47, of Bordentown, and an arrest warrant was issued. On May 30, the male was arrested in Robbinsville and turned over to Mt. Laurel Police. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.
At 4:06 p.m. on May 28, Mt. Laurel Police responded to Wegmans on Centerton Road for a shoplifting in progress. Officers arrested a male, age 36, of Maple Shade, for stealing $1,534 worth of cosmetics. He was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court hearing.
Between May 25 and May 27, a tow dolly was stolen from the rear yard of a vacant residence on the 1000 block of South Church Street.
On May 26, the Totowa Police Department advised Mt. Laurel Police that a resident in their jurisdiction was the victim of an online credit card fraud. Their investigation revealed that a suspect picked up the merchandise at the Best Buy in Mt. Laurel. A Mt. Laurel officer discovered that the suspect had purchased two Apple Mac Book computers, valued at $3,740, and had picked up one of the computers on May 23. The suspect arranged to pick up the second computer on May 26. At 4:20 p.m. on May 26, the suspect picked up the second computer and was arrested as he attempted to leave the store. A male, age 30, of Cherry Hill, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and released pending a court hearing.
