In this week’s Moorestown Sun

Coming in the April 8 print edition of The Sun:

Spending down, taxes up: Residents living in the average assessed home of $537,100 would pay $116 more in school taxes if voters approve Moorestown school district’s 2009–10 budget. The Board of Education met last week to approve the final 2009–10 school budget and send it to the polls for the April 21 election.

Climbing to the top: Alexandra Elder, 13, got her first stitches when she was just one-and-a-half years old. She was climbing furniture at 9 months of age, even before she learned how to walk. At age 2, her frazzled baby sitter suggested to her mother that she enlist the young toddler into a gymnastics program. Eleven years later, Alexandra is still tumbling around but has harnessed her energy to become one of the best gymnasts in the state. The Moorestown Middle School student recently competed in the USA Gymnastics NJ State finals and won first place for the all around competition for Level 9.

Meet the Candidates: Candidates for the Board of Education make their final pitch as to why they should be elected.
