On Monday, Burlington County plans to begin a project on a 2.8 mile stretch of Bridgeboro Road and the Moorestown Township Public School District wants parents to be aware of the effect the project may have on student transportation.
Construction plans under the county project include milling and resurfacing a portion of the road beginning at Stanwick Road in Moorestown to just north of Creek Road in Delran.
Work is slated to go on between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. every day for three weeks. Traffic will be maintained with one lane alternating during construction. At various times, the road will be shut down completely.
The school district has released a memo stating that police officers will be assisting in directing traffic, and also, according to the county, barring any unforeseen conditions or inclement weather, the paving between Stanwick Road and Westfield Road is anticipated to take three to four days and will be the first section of Bridgeboro Road to be worked on.
Parents who normally pick up their children from school are being asked to allow their children to walk to school or use bus transportation to and from Moorestown High School and William Allen Middle Middle School while this work project is being completed.
Also, parents are being asked to anticipate that there may be delays in afternoon bus transportation coming from all schools.
