The Evergreens in Moorestown, will be holding a bowling fundraiser at Pinsetter Bar & Bowl in Merchantville on Sunday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event is open to the public. The cost is $25 and includes three hours of unlimited bowling, shoe rental, and a food buffet.
Proceeds from the event are going towards Ross’ Racers’ involvement in the American Cancer Society’s 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Oct. 28 in Pennsauken. Each year, a group of staff members, family and friends team up to walk as Ross’ Racers in honor of the late Mary Ellen Ross — former vice president of health services at The Evergreens who lost her courageous battle with breast cancer in August 2008. The Ross’ Racers team is aiming to raise $7,500 this year.
