Food trucks are coming to Main Street
For nearly a year, Moorestown’s Economic Development Advisory Committee has discussed bringing food trucks to town. On Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m., the trucks will finally roll onto Main Street in what the committee hopes is the first of more food truck events to come. Vinny Napolitano, EDAC’s vice chair, said the committee is constantly looking for ways to get the community engaged with the retail district.
County recycling officials urge ‘when it doubt, throw it out’
The problem facing the Burlington County Recycling Program is not participation. With approximately 96 percent of residents putting out their recyclables each week, Burlington County Freeholder Director Kate Gibbs said there is no shortage of residents who are eager to recycle. The problem is that more than three-quarters of residents are recycling incorrectly. “Almost every person is recycling and we need to make sure they’re doing it right,” Gibbs said.
Leuliette ‘granted’ chance at Rotary presidency
Nearly 30 years ago, Dick Leuliette helped create the Moorestown Breakfast Rotary Club and served as the club’s first president. This August, the Breakfast Club will come full circle as Leuliette’s son, Grant, is taking up the mantle having accepted the role of president for the upcoming year.
