Grounds for Good Coffee returns with Sanctuary Band on Oct. 2

Grounds for Good Coffee House returns to the First United Methodist Church, 446 Camden Ave., on Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. We’ll kick off another great season of music and fellowship in support of organizations making a difference in people’s lives both locally and globally.

The Sanctuary Band, which played to rave reviews at the Peach Festival, will perform. This ensemble band features many local favorite musicians, including Jay Appleton, Tricia Halligan, Victoria McGrath, Todd Johnson, Neal Stephens and Ron Lorenzo.

Admission, coffee and tea and are all free, with delicious homemade goodies available for purchase. Proceeds and donations will benefit The Waymakers, a Willingboro-based organization dedicated to improving the lives of people in Ghana through sanitation and clean water, education and nutrition. Funds raised at the coffee house will go towards shipping toys, clothes and food to Ghana for a Christmas celebration.

Come for the kickoff in October and plan on joining us each month to enjoy a wide variety of music and learn how you can support some great causes. Mark your calendar for these Friday nights throughout the season: Nov. 6, Dec. 4, Jan. 8, Feb. 5, March 4 (Irish Night), April 1, May 6 and June 3.

The First United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Camden Avenue and Pleasant Valley Avenue.
