Fire breaks out at Flying W Airport

The fire resulted in a destroyed ice machine, as well as smoke, fire and water damage.

Medford Township Police Department responded to a fire Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4:25 p.m. in one of the airport’s auxiliary buildings that houses restrooms and an ice machine.

Medford and Lumberton Fire Departments arrived quickly to the scene to extinguish the fire.

The fire resulted in the ice machine being destroyed as well as
smoke, fire and water damage throughout the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Medford Township Fire Marshall in conjunction with the Medford Township Police Criminal Investigation Bureau.
