Life savers at YMCA Camp Ockanickon

Life saving AED’s will be placed in the two dining halls at the camp.

YMCA Camp Ockanickon in Medford recently received two Automated External Defibrillators donated by the Virtua Health Foundation and The Heart House, which is a cardiology practice in Southern New Jersey.

The life saving devices will be placed in the two dining halls — one at boys camp Ockanickon and the other at girls camp Matollionequay.

Pictured from left to right are Tracy Carter, major gifts officer at Virtua; Greg Keresztury, Ockanickon’s director of operations; Josh Ginsberg, executive director of The Heart House; Suzette Belz, Ockanickon’s vice president of development and major gifts; and Dan Rozov, Ockanickon’s assistant outdoor center director.

YMCA Camp Ockanickon is a nonprofit and hosts more than 15,000 people a year on its 800-acre property, between summer campers, family program participants and visitors to its outdoor center.

Lake Stockwell Day Camp (co-ed) is also part of YMCA Camp Ockanickon and the organization runs before-and after-school care programs for area school districts, including Medford and Tabernacle. For more information, contact Belz at [email protected] or call 609–654–8225.
