On Feb. 16 at 12:12 p.m., Medford Township Police, Fire, and EMS units responded to Route 70 and Jones Road for a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet HHR was attempting to make a left turn into the Sharp’s Run Plaza shopping center from eastbound Route 70 when the driver turned into the path of a 2008 Hyundai. The driver of the Chevrolet complained of chest pain and refused medical treatment at the scene by Medford Township EMS. The driver of the Hyundai sustained a hand injury and was transported to Virtua- Mt Holly hospital for evaluation. The driver of the Chevrolet was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to yield the right of way at an intersection and was released pending an appearance in Medford Municipal Court. The crash is under investigation by the Medford Township Police Traffic Bureau.
