Crisis helpline training for those who want to volunteer with CONTACT of Burlington County begins March 7.
By volunteering, residents have the opportunity to give caring, compassionate support to people who have immediate need, and will receive a chance at fulfillment and enhanced communication, life skills.
CONTACT training is registered with the state Department of Education for professional development credits.
No experience is necessary to volunteer with CONTAT. Training is provided, which includes active listening, crisis skills, self-awareness and data components.
Volunteers may help out according to their own schedule, there is 24/7 availability.
