Medford church offers Bible study

St. Mary of the Lakes parish is hosting “The Great Adventure: A Journey through the Bible” on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school auditorium located at 196 Route 70 East, Medford.

Jeff Cavins, a renowned Bible teacher, will lead a journey through the entire Bible by going deep into each period of salvation history to illustrate the amazing story woven throughout all of scripture. Using a unique color-coded system, Cavins will show how the major people, places, and events of the Bible come together to reveal a remarkable story of faith.

“The Great Adventure: A Journey through the Bible” is an opportunity to learn how the key people, places, and events in the Bible fit together to reveal God’s plan for humanity; see how the events in the Old Testament are fulfilled in the New Testament; and gain a greater appreciation for the scripture readings at Mass.

The registration fee ($45 by Nov. 14, $50 after Nov. 14) includes lunch on Saturday. Catechists in the Diocese of Trenton can earn six continuing education credits toward certification or recertification.

To register, visit www.smlparish.org or contact Christine Brandt at [email protected] or 609–654–8208, ext. 113.

On Dec. 2, Cavins will offer a free talk, “Exciting Changes of the Mass,” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The presentation is open to the public and registration is not required.
