Jazz organ virtuoso Jared Gold pays tribute to the heyday of the organ trio on Saturday, April 14.
Completing his New York-based trio are veteran jazzmen Avi Rothbard, on guitar, and drummer Rudy Royston.
Recently, criticaljazz.com wrote that Gold’s a “musical visionary … one of the more gifted talents on the horizon today.” His playing shows the influences of organ greats Jack McDuff, Larry Young and Don Patterson.
With a growing number of CDs to his credit, along with numerous others as a sideman, Gold’s performed across the country and internationally with some of the top artists in the jazz world.
