Medford Police, Fire and EMS responded to a single car accident on Sept. 2.
On Sept. 2, Medford Police, Fire, and EMS personnel were called to the area of County Road 541 near Bob Bende Park for a report of a single car motor vehicle accident.
Investigation revealed that a 59 year old female was traveling northbound on County Road 541 where she veered off onto the shoulder of the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Police observed numerous prescribed medications in the vehicle as well as two pieces of suspected drug paraphernalia.
The driver was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, possession of a syringe and possession of CDS paraphernalia. She was transported to Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly who in turn had her transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden due to chest and back injuries.
