Shawnee girls’ lacrosse defeats Eastern, advances to South Jersey Group IV semifinals

May 19 was a day full of celebrations for the Lady Renegade lacrosse team of Shawnee High School. Not only did the team defeat regional rival Eastern High School by a score of 10–8 but also, junior Caroline Farley netted her 100th career goal.

Shawnee overcame an early deficit of 5–2 to lead the Vikings 8–6 at halftime. Despite only scoring two-second half goals, the Renegade defense was able to preserve the victory. Farley had four goals to go along with three assists and senior Caroline Shinske chipped in two goals.

The win set up a showdown with second-seeded West Windsor Plainsboro High School North on Thursday, May 22 at 4 p.m. The game will be played at West Windsor.
