Leaf pickup continues to zone one this week

Medford Township crews have completed leaf pickup in zones three, four and five as of Jan. 2. Leaf pickup began in zone on on Monday, Jan. 5. It will continue to zone two once zone one has been completed.

The township reminds residents any leaves placed curbside after they are picked-up in a zone will be the sole responsibility of the homeowner to remove. Leaves must not be placed within 10 feet from any storm sewer. Do not park vehicles on the street close to leaf piles.

Leaves must be piled away from the curb or edge of the property to allow for water runoff during storms, but not be placed any further than six feet from the edge of the roadway. At no time should leaves be placed in the roadway. This will help alleviate traffic and pedestrian and bike hazards.

Any leaves generated by professional landscapers, contractors or anyone hired by a homeowner, must be removed by same.
