Fire Investigation in Medford Township

On Dec. 28 At 11:16 a.m., Medford Township Police dispatched to Wentwood Court to investigate the odor of a possible fire. Upon arrival with Medford Fire Department, patrols located a unit on Wentwood Court with an activated fire alarm and a heavy smoke condition inside of the residence.

Medford Fire Department forced entry to the front door and located a pot on the lit stove that contained burnt food. The pot was removed from the residence and it was ventilated.

No damage was reported to the structure of the residence due to the burnt food. The homeowner, who was not on location, was notified and responded back to his residence.

Upon completion of the investigation, the residence was turned back over to the homeowner.
