Mother Nature has played a cruel trick on the community by tempting us with warm weather and shocking us with the truth of winter. None the less, spring hasĀ arrived.
Speaking of spring, are you doing any spring cleaning? If you have gently read and loved books that you are wondering what to do with, consider donating them to the library for the Medford Library Association book sales. The MLA offers donated books for sale in the vestibule of the library at rock bottom prices. There is a good variety of titles for all ages, and proceeds go directly to funding our programing. We are in special need of cook books and books for children. Wonāt you consider paying itĀ forward?
We have a new class beginning for adults on Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. Paper Crafting at the Pinelands teaches how to make greeting cards, tags, bag books, notepads, notebooks and other paper items. You will need to bring your own scissors and double-sided tape. This is an ongoing program, so if you miss the first session, be sure to check our calendar for more opportunities to join us for theĀ fun.
We have not one, but two Family Movie Nights coming up in April. The first is on Tuesday, April 4 at 6 p.m. when we will be showing āRogue One: A Star Wars Story.ā A week later at the same time the feature will be āFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.ā These are wonderful opportunities for some quality family and community time.
A quick reminder about the fourth and fifth grade book club. They will be meeting on Monday, March 27 to talk about the book āGregor the Overlanderā by Suzanne Collins. Gregor and his sister Boots take a magical trip to the Underland where spiders, rats and roaches live peacefully with humans, but this world is on the brink of war and Gregor has a part to play in it. Can you guess what that part willĀ be?
Until next time, keep turning those pages and stayĀ warm.
