Nixle making its way to the Evesham Police Department

The Evesham Police Department has partnered with communications system Nixle to send directly to residents via email or text timely and valuable community information messages.

Police will be adding the new communications service to its social-media arsenal to enhance its ability to communicate with the residents.

Notifications can also be accessed online at Nixle’s website, www.nixle.com.

There are no spam messages associated with the service, but standard text messaging rates apply.

Nixle builds on the foundations of other communication services such as Twitter (follow us at Evesham Police) and Facebook (follow us at Evesham Township Police).

The messages can be sent specifically to residents registered within a quarter-mile radius, giving them the opportunity to receive trustworthy information relevant only to their neighborhood. Subscribers can also choose the way in which alerts are received, whether it is by email, text message or over the web.

Residents of Evesham and those in neighboring communities can immediately begin receiving pertinent information via text message, email and web by registering at www.nixle.com.
