The following report comes from Evesham Police Lt. Joseph Friel:
On Aug. 5, officers responded to the 600 block of Magnolia Court for a reported theft of an engagement ring that occurred weeks prior.
The victim reported that the ring was given to her by her now deceased husband and was very special to her.
Through pawn records officers determined that one of the victim’s roommates had sold the $5,000 ring to a local pawnshop for $110.
Officers were able to recover the ring and return it to the victim.
Arrested:
A male, age 29, of Marlton, was charged with third degree theft. He was arrested at his residence and released after posting bail.
