Berlin Brownies collecting Halloween candy for a good cause

The young scouts are donating leftover treats to the military.

The Berlin Borough Brownie Girl Scout Troop will be collecting excess, leftover and unwanted Halloween candy on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the Berlin Community Center from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Brownies will ship some of the candy overseas to men and women serving in the military. Other dontions will be sent to the Ronald McDonald House in Camden.

The Brownies will provide curbside service, so donors don’t have to get out of their cars.

People are also encouraged to contribute personal hygiene products, batteries and energy bars.
